Printing Prices in Nigeria 2026: What Things Actually Cost

Volume work is where unit prices fall

“How much is banner printing in Nigeria?” is one of the most searched printing questions in the country, and almost nobody answers it properly. Most printers say it depends and leave you to guess. Here is a real set of numbers, and an honest explanation of what moves them.

Quick reference: starting prices

These are realistic 2026 starting points in Lagos. Our own rates are marked; the rest reflect what the Lagos market typically charges. Treat all of them as floors, not ceilings.

ItemTypical starting price
Business cardsFrom ₦15,000 per unit — our rate
Flyers, 500 unitsFrom ₦45,000 — our rate
Roll-up banner, 2400 × 800mmFrom ₦50,000 with stand — our rate
Custom t-shirtsFrom ₦6,000 per unit, min 10 — our rate
Flex banner, per square metreMarket typically ₦3,000–₦6,000
Stickers & labelsMarket typically from ₦20,000 per run
Shop signageMarket typically from ₦35,000, rising sharply with size
Custom packagingMarket typically from ₦60,000 per run

Why nobody publishes a full price list: a “banner” can mean a ₦25,000 flex sheet or a ₦180,000 illuminated outdoor sign. Until a printer knows size, material, quantity and finish, any number they give you is a guess. The figures above tell you whether you can afford to start the conversation.

Banner printing prices in Nigeria

The most searched of all, and the most misunderstood, because “banner” covers several completely different products.

Roll-up banners

A standard 2400 × 800mm roll-up starts from around ₦50,000 including the stand and carry bag. That is for premium blockout material and a stand you can reuse.

You will see them advertised for half that. The saving comes from one of three places: thinner translucent material that shows light through it, lower print resolution, or a stand that jams or leans. A banner is equipment with a print attached — ask about the stand before comparing prices.

Flex banners

Priced by area, typically ₦3,000 to ₦6,000 per square metre depending on material grade. So a 3m × 2m banner is 6 square metres, landing somewhere between ₦18,000 and ₦36,000. Outdoor-grade material with UV-stable ink sits at the top of that range and lasts far longer in Lagos sun.

What moves banner prices

  • Material grade. The single biggest factor. Blockout costs more than standard flex and is worth it indoors.
  • Size. Priced by area, so doubling both dimensions quadruples the cost.
  • Finishing. Eyelets, hemming, pole pockets and stands each add.
  • Quantity. Five banners cost far less per unit than one.

Flyer printing prices in Nigeria

500 A5 flyers on 130gsm start from around ₦45,000. But flyers are where quantity matters most, because setup cost dominates.

QuantityWhat happens to the price
100Poor value — you pay mostly for setup
500The usual practical minimum
1,000Noticeably better per unit
2,000+Offset becomes viable, price per flyer drops sharply

The lesson: if you think you will need more within a few months, order them now. Splitting one order into three small ones is the most common way Nigerian businesses overspend on print.

Other factors: A4 costs more than A5, 170gsm more than 130gsm, and double-sided more than single. Gloss lamination adds cost and a day.

Sticker and label printing prices

Sticker runs typically start from around ₦20,000. Per-unit cost falls very sharply with volume — more so than almost any other print product, because the setup is the whole job.

What changes the number:

  • Material. Paper is cheapest. Waterproof vinyl costs more and is essential for bottles, jars and anything outdoors. Clear film costs most.
  • Shape. Squares and circles are cheapest. Die-cutting to a custom outline adds a cutting setup.
  • Size and quantity. Both obvious, both significant.

A common mistake: ordering paper labels for drinks bottles. They look fine until the first fridge, then peel and wrinkle. Pay the extra for vinyl.

Signage prices in Nigeria

Signage is the hardest to price generally, because it spans a simple printed board and a fabricated illuminated sign mounted at height.

TypeTypical market range
Flex or vinyl fascia signFrom about ₦35,000
Foam board / directional signsFrom about ₦25,000
Light box signageConsiderably more — quoted per job
3D acrylic or metal lettersPriced per letter, quoted per job

Installation is usually separate, and height matters — a sign mounted at first-floor level costs more to fit than one at eye level. Always confirm whether a quote includes installation.

Custom packaging prices

Packaging runs typically start from around ₦60,000, but this varies more than any other category. A printed mailer box and a rigid presentation box with foil are different products entirely.

Main drivers: box style and construction, material weight, quantity, and finishes such as lamination or foil. Die-cutting a custom box shape adds a one-off tooling cost that is then reusable on repeat orders — worth knowing if you expect to reorder.

T-shirt printing prices

From ₦6,000 per unit with a minimum of 10. The print method changes the economics completely:

  • DTF has no setup cost, so 10 shirts is viable. Best for small runs and full-colour designs.
  • Screen printing needs a screen per colour, so setup is real. Poor value under 50 shirts, excellent above it.
  • Vinyl is applied per colour by hand — ideal for names and numbers, expensive for complex art.

Garment quality matters too. 180–220gsm cotton is standard; 240gsm+ feels premium and costs more. Our t-shirt printing guide compares the methods properly.

The five things that change every price

  1. Quantity. Setup cost is fixed, so per-unit price falls with volume. Always ask where the price breaks are.
  2. Material. Paper weight, banner grade, garment quality. Usually the second biggest factor.
  3. Finishing. Lamination, foil, spot UV, die-cutting. Each is a separate pass, so each adds cost and usually a day.
  4. Turnaround. Express work means rescheduling other jobs, so it carries a premium.
  5. Artwork. Print-ready files cost nothing extra. Low-resolution logos need rebuilding, and that is design work.

How to get an accurate quote in one message

Most back-and-forth happens because the first message is too vague. Send these five things and most Lagos printers can quote in minutes:

  1. What the item is
  2. Exact quantity
  3. Size
  4. When you need it
  5. Whether you have print-ready artwork

Then two follow-ups people forget: is delivery included, and is design included? A quote missing both is not cheaper, it is incomplete.

Where people waste money

  • Ordering too few. The commonest and most expensive mistake.
  • Reprinting after a typo. Always read the proof twice, and have someone else read it.
  • Paying for finishes nobody notices. Spot UV on a flyer that gets binned that evening is money spent on nothing.
  • Buying the cheapest banner stand. You buy it twice.
  • Paper labels on wet surfaces. Peel within days.

Common questions

How much does it cost to print flyers in Nigeria?

500 A5 flyers on 130gsm stock start from around 45,000 naira. Per-unit cost falls sharply with quantity, so 1,000 or 2,000 units cost considerably less per flyer than 500.

How much is sticker printing in Nigeria?

Sticker and label runs typically start from around 20,000 naira. Price depends on size, material, shape and quantity, and per-unit cost drops steeply with volume.

How much does signage cost in Nigeria?

A simple flex or vinyl fascia sign starts from about 35,000 naira. Light boxes, 3D acrylic letters and illuminated signage cost considerably more and are quoted per project. Installation is usually separate.

Why do printers not publish full price lists?

How do I get an accurate printing quote quickly?

Send the item, exact quantity, size, deadline and whether you have print-ready artwork. Then ask whether delivery and design are included. Most printers can quote within minutes from that.
